Atm Financial Services was founded on the belief that everyone deserves an opportunity to live the American dream. I spent 4 years in the United States Air Force followed by 35 years working for a large electric utility company. In the early years of my career I have to admit the I did not have a good understanding of finances and what it took to accumulate wealth and achieve my financial goals. In fact I wasn’t even sure what my financial goals were. I basically did what my coworkers were doing but soon realized that most of them didn’t know any more than I did about financial planning. It was then that I began to educate myself both formally by going back to school, and informally by doing research and talking to people who were more knowledgeable about finances than I was. I received my B.S. in Business from the University of South Alabama in 2010 at age 52. I believe very strongly in continuous learning and I followed up my B.S. degree by completing an accredited course in financial planning through the University of Georgia. By combining my life experiences, work experience dealing with various aspects of planning and finance, and my formal education, I felt I was ready to start helping others meet their goals and objectives. I started my business part time in 2012 while I continued to hone my skills and work toward my retirement objectives. I was able to retire at age 57 and now I devote myself full time to helping others. My business is based on my spiritual and moral beliefs and I treat all of my clients with the dignity and respect that I would want from my financial adviser. I believe that everyone deserves a shot at financial security and freedom, but without an advocate in your corner it can be almost impossible to succeed in these areas. Let me be the person in your corner that you can trust to guide you through life’s financial challenges.
